SA's Defence Force Bowlers looking for recruits
Not only is the ADF in strife for numbers, but so is South Australia's ADF Lawn Bowlers Association.
Joe Di Santo, who manages SA's ADFLB side, has written an article about the ADFLB Championships to be held in October this year. Joe is on a recruiting drive to try to get SA up to a full side rather than play in a composite "Barbarians" side - much the same as our Allies concept.
Joe says in the article:
"ADFLB is looking to boost its participation numbers undertaking a recruitment drive for Defence bowlers from around the nation. Both permanent and reserve members are being sought in order to boost playing numbers for this year’s championships and beyond. The only requirement for members to attend, excluding individual service compliance, is that they be fully registered members of an accredited Bowls Australia Club."
