Jose Gil's Team Makes Quarter Finals
The RSL National Fours Championship at Club Tweed was contested by players in 5 sections - 3 of 6 teams and 2 of 8 teams.
There was a bit of confusion with the sectional results given that there had to be 3 "next best" qualifiers after section winners were decided. We were all pleased to see Jose Gil's team make it through sectional play to the quarter finals.
A tough match against WA's Bill Taylor was played on what was probably the "trickiest" rink on Green One at Tweed. We saw some excellent bowls from both teams, particularly Bill Taylor's draw bowling when WA was on the ropes. Our boys fought it out with honour, but WA proved too strong at the finish.
